The Pineapple.
Infertility may have challenged us, but we are stronger because of it! So let's straighten our crowns, because like a pineapple, we are sweet enough and strong enough to live the life we have been given
Rebecca and Michael spoke about wanting children on their first date. Unfortunately it didn't happen naturally, so they sought the advice of medical professionals to help them achieve their dream of becoming parents. Unfortunately their first specialist was not for them and after three stimulation rounds and two egg retrievals they learnt the hard way that you must trust your gut if you are unhappy with your specialist. They were advised by a friend to see a different Fertility Specialist and discovered just how badly they had been treated at their previous clinic. Their new specialist was personable and took the time to listen to them and actually catered to their needs.
We are really not expecting to make money from these NFTs, however if we are able, the money will be going towards paying off the debt we have accrued because of IVF. We will also be donating a percentage to Fertility Support Au. An amazing non for profit organisation that aims to bring people together to make their infertility journey less isolating. Rebecca has experienced first hand the importance of finding people who are experiencing the same trials that come with fertility treatment… While Michael hopes to bring a voice and make connections with other men who are experiencing infertility.

The paintings, drawings and words by Rebecca have been her way of coping and processing the trauma that can happen when undergoing fertility treatment. Rebecca felt incredibly alone during the first year and a half of treatments. So she turned to drawing as a way of helping her process the isolation she felt. By sharing her drawings on instagram she was able to find a large community of people experiencing the same emotional highs and lows that are associated with being a part of the infertility community.
Join the CommunityThe Hashtag #FertilityFuckItFriday was created by Alexandra Slate @rockabyemaybe. This Hashtag became a way for people in the Infertility community to find a way to relax on a Friday (or any day really). Infertile people are so consumed by doing everything in their power to have a baby that it can be hard to take a break and enjoy the simple things. Fertility fuck it Friday is a way to come together and talk about what else is in our lives other than infertility.
